Mit Bestürzung habe ich die Nachricht vom Tod meines Cousin  erhalte. Ich möchte hiermit meine aufrichtige Anteilnahme  an Euch richten.

Und da sind Spuren, Augenblicke und Erinnerungen an Dich, die bleiben.  Doch der Zeitpunkt war zu früh, das tut uns unendlich Leid.

Michael and I worked together at IdaTech and stayed in touch since then. He had served in the German Navy on submarines. I had served in the US Navy on destroyers. When we would have a beer or two together the conversation would ultimately turn to,  “You were the target!” With the other one of us saying, “No! You were the target!” I note that he left us all on the 25th.  That date was the date this year of our US Memorial Day holiday to remember those that have fallen in military service. His passing will give new meaning to Memorial Day to me each year going forward. He will not be forgotten!
